At Eclipse Lodge we provide Long Term Care, Respite Care and Short Breaks, Convalescence and Day Care. At this Home we are specialists in providing a loving environment for people affected by dementia. We have specially trained understanding and patient staff, daily activities, a happy and safe environment, one-to-one therapist, family support groups and good food.

Eclipse Lodge provides a specialist environment for people affected by dementia. By providing a relaxed and safe atmosphere with caring staff, we are through programmed activities and one-to-one therapy able to effect real improvements. We believe in looking at the person and not the symptoms of their condition. We aim to preserve quality of life and independence. Our staff are especially picked for their tenderness and empathy.

Eclipse Lodge is situated close to Chelston Village, and is about 10 minutes walk from the sea and Torquay Railway Station

Our Mission is to provide an environment full of warmth, love, and security. Every person we meet is treated as an individual, and encouraged to flourish and grow. The love and respect we give to each person is just as we would like to receive ourselves. We strive to maintain a welcoming, secure, and supportive atmosphere, within a comfortable 'home from home' environment. We aim to maintain our resident's interest in living whist providing assistance with the things they can no longer do for themselves. We believe quality of life means good food, interesting activities, and a feeling of security and belonging. We want everyone who chooses to live with us to know and trust that we will look after them, and not judge them for being frail. We remember that one day we too will grow old.
Our Staff undergo continuous training and assessment to ensure they are properly qualified and experienced. Many of our staff have worked at our homes for several years.

CROCUS CARE is a family run concern providing a flexible and personalised residential and day care service for the elderly in South Devon. We operate four homes over a spread of locales, each offering differing environments and care profiles. Our homes with around 20-25 residents are large enough to provide a stimulating social mix, but avoid the institutional character of larger homes..
