The Shrubbery Nursing Home is set in 3/4 acre of landscaped, mature tree-lined gardens and is located just half a mile from Kidderminster town centre. Its thirty-three nursing places are furnished and equipped to a very high standard; most bedrooms having en-suite facilities. Our dedicated staff provide the care and support each resident needs in order to maintain their independence, dignity and freedom of choice.

FACILITIES & ACCOMMODATION
Shrubbery Nursing Home's spacious and comfortable accommodation is well furnished and welcoming. We have thirty-three residential places (mostly in single rooms), many with en-suite facilities.

We have an elegant Georgian corniced lounge for residents to sit and read or to pursue other activities.

The spacious dining room has French doors which lead into a large conservatory, which in turn leads to a large patio area.

Our bedrooms are light and airy, and each is individually decorated and furnished to a high standard.

All rooms are equipped with nurse-call and intercom facilities, TV sockets. Private BT phone lines can be installed by arrangement.

In addition to the en-suite facilities, the Shrubbery is also equipped with modern shower and bath rooms

Our bedrooms are fully furnished, but we are happy for residents to bring in certain items of their own furniture so that they can make the room their own.

Our sunny conservatory is particularly popular with residents, allowing views out to the grounds and making a tranquil setting in which to relax.

Level entrances provide easy access throughout the Home and grounds.

ACTIVITIES,EVENTS & SERVICES
Experience has shown that the our philosophy of promoting active minds and bodies improves well-being. We arrange a range of activities and entertainment to enhance the quality of life of those in our care.

In addition to the activities listed we arrange various trips to places of interest, as well as Mobility classes and other regular activities. Our Activities organiser can also help residents pursue their individual hobbies and interests.

Residents can watch TV or listen to the radio in the lounges or in their own rooms. We also arrange days / nights out at local events, as well as a variety of other special events throughout the year.

We also encourage visits by clergymen of all denominations. If there is sufficient demand, small services can also be held at the home. We can also arrange for you to attend your own church with relatives and friends.

SERVICES
We also offer a comprehensive range of personal services from specialists who visit the home to cater for hairdressing, chiropody, and physiotherapy, as well as to offer treatment for dental and optical problems.

MEALS
We aim to provide our residents with a varied, tempting and well-balanced diet. Our catering staff are pleased to accommodate individual requests and requirements. We serve three main meals each day as well as afternoon drinks and evening and a light supper, but residents are free to eat at a time of their choosing.
